Lake Ming is a beautiful place out next to the Kern River Golf Course and also the Mighty Kern River. which is famous for the spectacular White Water rafting.  The lake has hosted many big drag boat races over the years. The nearby Kern River Golf Course has been played by many of the top Pros and Amateurs in California and the United States. In the old days, it is possible that Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus played there. They played at other course close to Lake Ming such as Bakersfield Country Club and the Stockdale Country Club.
